NoVa Novice Group

NoVa Synchro’s Novice Group is for athletes ages 10 and younger who have limited experience with synchronized swimming before but are eager to learn this captivating Olympic sport. Athletes in the Novice Group practice twice a week. Interested athletes may also compete in local synchronized swimming meets, where they will gain experience and have the opportunity to be inspired by watching more experienced athletes perform.

Novice group athletes practice at the Washington and Lee High School pool from 2:30-4 pm on Sundays and from 6:30-8 pm on Wednesdays. The joining fee for the novice group is $75, which includes registration with USA Synchro and Potomac Valley Synchro. Monthly dues for the novice group are $130, which pays for pool time and coaching. Each athlete will need to provide their own one-piece swimsuit, cap and goggles for each practice.
